Alison Mason Garden Design Awards

Published on 25 October 2010

In August 2010 Alison was delighted to win two awards for the same public planting scheme on the Cherry tree roundabout in Southgate, Enfield. The first was first prize Enfield in Bloom for the best public planting scheme and the second from The Conservation Foundation Green corners Award for improving difficult to plant London spaces. This scheme is featured on their website and was on display at the Garden Museum in Lambeth, South London in Aprill 2011. Both awards recognised the ecological and environmental impact of the planting in an area difficult to sustain plants.

Alison’s planting scheme for Walker Primary School and creation of a wildlife garden and pond also won The Enfield in Bloom Best School Grounds and Educational and Environmental Aspect 2011 for her planting design of the front school borders and design and planting of the school pond all of which are planted with wildlife in mind and sustainable – in other words do not require watering. The gardens continue to mature and bring pleasure to the school community.
